Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The Behavioral Health Administration established the Maui Behavioral Health Wildfire Response (MBHWR) special project to administer supplemental emergency grant funds received from SAMHSA and partner with organizations and community partners to implement the strategies required under the grant. The primary purpose of the position is to support the MBHWR project by developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and improving the project's response to the Maui wildfires. This position will provide administrative, fiscal, and programmatic support for the Project Directors and program staff and is responsible for purchasing and procurement for the project, assisting with program development, and assisting, troubleshooting, and providing strategy, as needed, in the management of the project.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible professional work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform administrative assignments in the following: program and procedure development, analysis, evaluation, and improvement; government financial management fundamentals and legislative process or internal policy and development. Work experience managing enterprise projects and managing projects that have an IT component; experience using technology to achieve business results and experience in internal and public communication methods, protocols, policies, and procedures highly desirable. LICENSE: Possession of a Hawaii Motor Vehicle Operator's license is preferred.
